What a great voyage, thanks to skipper Barry and his gallant crew! Visited some magical islands, learnt tunes and songs from the places we visited and enjoyed sharing them with the local community who were always welcoming and sometimes pleasantly eccentric! Listened to beautiful Gaelic songs sung a Capella and joined in with Pinball Wizard played on acoustic guitar, joined together to sing a haunting Westray air that would have brought a tear to a glass eye. Ate fresh scallops and crab, Fair Isle lamb and other delights prepared by our six-star chef. Saw orcas! Experienced some very playful seas and some lovely smooth sailing. Whatever the wind or weather, Sessions and Sail delivers all it says on the box, and more!

As always it was another super sailing trip. Good music, good sailing and great company. Well done Barry and all others for making these Session & Sails trips so memorable.

Another excellent trip. It was great to get to a new island (North Ronaldsay) which most of us had never been to and we had a wonderful evening on Fair Isle. Barry did his absolute best in some challenging weather to make the trip as good as it could be. There was a great mix of amazing scenery, world class archaeology and of course great tunes. Jenna Reid was excellent to play with and to listen to. We had a bonus Saturday night in Lerwick with an extra Sessions and Sail session and also sessions in Orkney before we joined the boat which was another bonus. Harris was an excellent cook and went out of his way to secure locally sourced produce. The whole crew really put a huge amount of effort in to make our holiday one to remember.

It was a fantastic sail with great music and community connections. The delicious food on board was locally sourced. The care and safety was exemplary. The crew were fun, supportive and inclusive. The music tuition and workshops offered were tailored to the needs of group. It was unfortunate that a lurgy hit folks on this trip, and I felt very supported and cared for despite feeling so ill.

My third trip with Sessions and Sail was a little different from the first two. We still had fabulous music instructors, an awesome crew, delicious food, great camaraderie, and amazing interactions with local musicians along the way. This time we added some longer distance sailing and had the perfect winds to get us from place to place. I saw some new places I would love to explore more if I ever get the chance and learned some great new tunes. Also the voyage started at the Orkney Folk Festival and I had such a great time I already have a bed booked for next year and am also awaiting next year's schedule for voyages.
